Ce qui est fascinant avec la peinture c’est que l’on n’arrête jamais de découvrir, d’apprendre et de changer de direction, car, selon moi, un style de peinture est appelé à sans cesse évoluer. Quand en 2003 j’ai placé mes premiers triangles, ronds et spirales sur un tableau, j’ignorais que ce style allait m’offrir tant de moments de bonheur. Une peinture Zafer ne se peint pas, elle se sculpte lentement couche après couche avec patience et passion. La peinture est tantôt ajoutée, tantôt enlevée, car je poursuis ma recherche d’une balance entre les couleurs et les formes. Cette maison verte sous le banian coloré est l’illustration du bonheur utopique de l’artiste.
